It’s Hard. It’s Cold. It’s Snowy. Will You Survive?
ZombiCide 2.0 began as a passion project in November 2023, created for myself and my wife after years of experience with DayZ servers. I was previously an admin on a server called ACDZiH: A Cold DayZ In Hell, which was a challenging and dynamic server that I helped manage. Unfortunately, that server is no longer around. During my time there, I worked on managing Expansion files, migrating the server from using Dr. Jones Traders to a dynamic market system, and integrating and managing the market, quest systems, and A.I.
When ACDZiH closed, I took a six-month break but couldn’t find a server that suited my desired play style—an environmentally challenging, hard PvEvP experience with PvP against A.I. This desire led to the creation of ZombiCide PvE+. Over the next six to seven months, the player base grew steadily, and the server evolved based on player suggestions. However, over time, it began to feel less like my own server, and I eventually lost passion and shut it down.
Despite stepping away, my love for DayZ servers never truly left. Fueled by this passion, I created ZombiCide 2.0, a full PvE vs A.I winter survival server. It offers a hardcore experience where players must navigate the challenges of freezing temperatures, dynamic A.I encounters, and an unforgiving environment. ZombiCide 2.0 is not just a server; it’s a place to test your survival skills in the ultimate DayZ experience.
